Articulate Technology Concept has urged Nigerians to be integrated into Information Communication Technology (ICT), so that the country could grow at a desired speed.
The Chief Executive Officer of the company, Mr. Ahmad Akorede, gave the advice during an ICT summit.
During the summit themed: “The Paradigm”, he challenged youths on using ICT to solve Nigeria’s current problems.
Akorede said, “ICT has been able to connect the world together breaking barriers like country’s borders, solving global problem and making the world a global village.
“The richest personalities in the ICT sector today are youths driven by passion and focus. Youths should put into use, conceive ideas and not wait until it develops, because it will not develop if not used.”
He encouraged the youths to take up courses in areas such as Web Designing, Software Developer, Programming, Desktop Publishing and many more.
“People of other field like Medicine, Accounting should key into ICT as the world is becoming more ICT-based and oriented, so that they won’t fade out. With about N20, 000 to N70, 000, you can learn courses such as Mobile Application Development and website designing among others,” he added.
Meanwhile, the CEO of KARA, Mr. Saheed Balogun, counselled participants on looking at the area of security.
“This aspect of ICT is required to protect all software applications, mobile applications, which is needed by all computer gurus,” he noted.
Also, Ali Salihu, a telecom professional from Nokia Network advised participant to perceive going to school to learn ICT skills.
