Gay suspect escapes arrest after alleged murder of partner

Pandemonium erupted in Ihiala community in Anambra State when one Emmanuel Ezeakor was reportedly mobbed to death by angry neigbhours led by the chairman of the community after he was caught desecrating the land with another male identified as Solomon Ezedinachi on January 26th .
Recall that Emmanuel Ezeakor, son of a wealthy businessman in Anambra State was few years ahead of Solomon Ezedinachi while they were both students in the same Secondary School in Anambra State few years ago.
Tragedy however struck on the fateful day when 20-years old Solomon Ezedinachi came visiting his partner in the community in his usual manner and was received by his long-time partner who ushered him into his apartment.
An eye-witness who pleaded anonymity disclosed that the two male lovers unknown to them had been under secret surveillance for several months by youths of the community led by the chairman.

Moments after the arrival of Solomon, it was gathered that the chairman and the youths forced their way and broke into the apartment where Solomon and Emmanuel were caught in the act of homosexual practice prompting the angry crowd to unleash anger on them for desecrating their community.
Emmanuel Ezeakor however was reported to have passed out immediately from the torture as frantic efforts made to revive him were unsuccessful.
He was later confirmed dead following the arrival of medical personnel while Solomon Ezedinachi whereabout was unknown as it was argued that he managed to escape while efforts were being made to resuscitate his unconscious partner.
Meanwhile, following the prompt arrival of policemen at the venue of the desecration, the crowd of angry youths was dispersed by teargas carnisters while the corpse of Emmanuel Ezeakor’s corpse was later taken away and deposited at the mortuary.
A statement by the police in Anambra State Police Command said that a manhunt for the fleeing Solomon Ezedinachi was already underway adding that it was working in synergy with other security agencies and local vigilante including members of the community to arrest the fleeing gay suspect.
