Matt Par Reveals How to Earn Profit on YouTube Without Showing Your Face

Different YouTube creators like portraying their content in different ways. While some prefer sharing their experiences through audio, some prefer the video route.

Well, those who do not feel comfortable being in front of the camera can also share engaging content on the platform and become successful.

Matt Par, a successful YouTuber, started his journey on the platform in 2014 with his first faceless channel.

The YouTuber now has 9 massively successful channels. How can you earn profits from YouTube from behind the camera? Matt Par suggests a few ways to go about it.

Choosing A Niche

What can work for a YouTuber is focusing on a niche. Matt Par says, “First things first, you have to perform market validation before uploading a video on YouTube.

That entails determining what type of channel you want and what niche you want to explore.

Next, you have to perform market validation on your preferred niche.”

How do you do market validation? Matt recommends looking to see if there are other channels in the niche you’re considering doing having success and if there are videos with at least 100,000 views.

For example, countdown videos like Top 10 videos do not require a YouTuber to show their face.

However, they could use voice modulation to enhance the viewing experience.

Other niches that can be explored are scary stories, tech stories, or even sports videos.

YouTubers may also consider hiring people to script, shoot and edit videos, or even use other people who have a better online presence to be the face of the channel.

Generating Videos

To generate videos, Matt Par uses a technique he calls ‘The Searching and Surging Technique.’

This consists of getting half of your video ideas from keyword research using tools like VidIQ and the other half from videos that have already proven to perform well in your niche.

You can gauge success or failure after uploading a minimum of 33 videos. So, ideating for 33 videos, to begin with, can help.

Analyzing and Optimizing Videos

Analyzing your videos can help you understand the areas that need more attention.

Studying the audience retention graph of each video will point out where viewer interest spiked and parts that did not have much impact.

“I look for topics that have little competition in the search traffic.

This technique increases chances of initial traction, and I convert the search traffic to suggested traffic.

Lastly, I implement similar metadata, linking the uploaded video to all my other videos across YouTube,” says Matt Par.

Matt Par strongly believes that if you keep all these aspects in mind, you can be successful on YouTube even without showing your face.
