Dr. Godwin Akpan Amaowoh, born on November 29, 1959, in Mbiabong Ikon I, Ikono Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria, is a prominent figure in both religious and academic circles. He currently serves as the General Secretary and Trustee of the Assemblies of God Nigeria. With a diverse ministerial calling as an evangelist, pastor, teacher, administrator, revivalist, and Bible expositor, Dr. Amaowoh has dedicated his life to the service of his community and the preservation of cultural values.

He began his primary education at Government School, Mbiabong, and continued through various institutions, culminating in a PhD in Religious Studies from the University of Nigeria, Nsukka, in 2006.
