Easter patrol: FRSC partner hoteliers in Anambra, deploys 1,000 personnel

 

 

As Christians in Anambra State joined their counterparts worldwide to celebrate Easter, The Federal Road Safety Commission (FRSC), Anambra State Command has partnered the hotel and hospitality operators to ensure hitch-free celebration.

The State Sector Commander, Mr Sunday Ajayi, who disclosed this at a workshop held in Awka during the weekend, added that the command has deployed no fewer than 1,000,000 regular and special marshals for the special Easter operations.

“For the Easter period, not less than 1,000 regular and special Marshals have been deployed across the state and our major units in our command, we shall be strict with regulations and offenders will be penalised”, he said.

In a remark, Chief Felix Ogbuefi, the proprietor of the TrigPoint hotel, pledged the corporation of their group adding that they were impressed with the FRSC in the state, even as he advised Nigerians to celebrate with moderation, pointing out that drunk driving was an accident waiting to happen.
