Jerry To Face Prosecution As Police Declares Partner Wanted Over Gay Practice.

The Edo State Command of the Nigerian Police has declared wanted Ubgogbo Ovbukhan after he was reportedly caught in the act of gay practice with another male partner identified as Jerry.

It was gathered Jerry who hails from Okrika community in Port Harcourt, River State was nabbed in the act with Ugbogbo Ovbukhan in a remote community in Edo State.

Until they were both caught in the sacrilegious act which led to the desecration of the community, Jerry and Ugbogbo Ovbukhan were regular visitors to the remote community where one of the buildings was used as guest house, it was confirmed.

It was said that the two gay suspects were taken unaware by the local vigilante in the community who were uncomfortable with their regular use of the accommodation facility alone without the company of the female gender as it was gathered that their regular presence elicited suspicion amongst people of the community .

However an eyewitness who craved anonymity disclosed that the two gay suspects often operated in a manner curious enough to elicit suspicion amongst people of the community as often times as one of them would come to make reservation after payment for one of the rooms thereafter the other partner would later come around in disguise to meet his partner

Investigation revealed that sometimes in February 2006, after they had booked a room and were secretly indulging in the sacrilegious act of gay practice unmindful of the presence of prying eyes in the community, luck ran out of them when few minutes after checking into the room, some angry mob in company of the management of the facility forcibly broke into the room and nabbed them in the sacrilegious act.

Angry youths in the community were said to have ruthlessly unleash torture on both of them after they were reportedly caught desecration the community, it was gathered.

However, Ugbogbo Ovbukhan who hails from Edo State, according to information made available, later managed to escape from the scene grip of the crowd where they were being tortured owing to the late arrival of the police.

Jerry, who was almost unconscious owing to the severe torture and was unable to run away, was however taken away and arrested by the police for further investigation.

Meanwhile, the Edo State Command of the Nigerian Police in statement made available to journalists in Benin City stated that the Command was on the trail of one Ugbogbo Ovbukhan who escaped after he was reportedly caught in the act of gay practice with another male identified as Jerry in February 2006.

The statement further added that plans were underway to prosecute the arrested partner Jerry for desecration and violation of the existing laws after investigation into the case.

Jerry if found guilty and convicted in accordance with the provisions of the law might face stiffer punishment of over 10years Imprisonment.

Meanwhile, efforts have been intensified to arrest and prosecute the fleeing Ugbogbo Ovbukhan who was declared wanted by the Command.
