APC will not colapse after Buhari–Razak

A chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), in Lagos State, Chief Lanre Razak has expressed confidence that the party will survive the perceived crisis currently rocking it, saying the party will come out stronger and more stable.

Speaking during a media interactive session in Lagos, Razak expressed the belief that the party would continue to wax stronger and stronger because the leadership of the party are so competent and experienced to handle any misunderstanding within the party.

According to the former Public Transportation Commissioner in Lagos State, the party has an effective crisis resolution mechanism which the leadership has been deploying over the years to resolve various vexatious issues.

While reminding that there is no political party in the world that is crisis-free, Razak said the most important thing is the ability to resolve such crises, pointing out that, “political parties are like coalitions of members of the same family.”

Speaking further, the Epe, Lagos born politician, who is a member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), asserted that there is no nation all over the world that does not have crisis, disclosing that, acquisition of power; it is believed is never on the platter of gold as food served in the restaurant.

Sounding philosophical, the elder statesman said, the teeth and tongue do quarrel and do settle amicably without resulting into going their different ways, saying, the analogy also applies to members of political parties who are bound to disagree to agree.

He therefore advised the critics and the opposition not to rejoice yet, because APC is still the choice of all Nigerians enthusing that, the party would have a smooth sail back to the Aso Villa in 2023 “after the workaholic President Muhammadu Buhari would hand over the country’s leadership baton to another competent hand to continue from where he would stop.”

By that time, Razak said, President Buhari would have endeared the party in the minds of the people with his performance so much that it would remain the only choice of every Nigerian.

“In addition to that, President Muhammadu Buhari would make sure, before he leaves office; that the platform that gave him the peoples mandate to rule them for eight years remains solid and formidable to remain in power several years after him,” Razak stated.

Speaking further, Razak, who is a member of the Lagos State Governor’s Advisory Council (GAC), told his party’s critics that there is no nation all over the world that does not have crisis, disclosing that, when talking of acquisition of power; it is believed it is never served as food in the restaurant.
