An All Progressives Congress (APC) House of Representatives aspirant, Hon Aderemi Banjo has applauded Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her development programmes and opportunities to the grassroots level of Lagos State.

Banjo also described as insensitive the 5th term agenda of the Majority Leader, House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila.
At a meeting in Alaka, Banjo said the many years of Gbajabiamila in the National Assembly did not bring development to Surulere Constituency 1.

He criticised the lawmaker for pursuing an agenda at odds with the people of the constituency. Terming Gbajabiamila’s performance as poor, Banjo urged the lawmaker to step aside for the interest of the constituency.

Banjo who aspires to win the Surulere Constituency 1 race urged the elders, women and youth to be united against the 5th term agenda.

“The political climate is vastly different than when Gbajabiamila won in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015. We can’t afford to put APC at risk by fielding someone who has clearly lost the people’s trust. There will not be a place in 2019 for him in the National Assembly,” he said.

Banjo, young, charismatic and a master of the art of process, is believed to be in the race to bring hope and opportunity back to the forgotten.

“I understand how it is to maintain one’s political base, stay in touch with the folks back home and do the best you could to further the interests of the people,” he added.
