Anambra Guber: I will defeat the sitting governor- Andy Ubah

Senator representing Anambra South at the Senate and a governorship aspirant on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Andy Ubah, has said that he is the most qualified and experienced to defeat the sitting governor in the state.
Ubah who was accompanied by 40 Senators to purchase Expression of Interest and Nomination forms on Wednesday at the National Secretariat of the party said he did not see reason why he will not win the governorship ticket in the state.
He said, “If you look at all of us that are running, who has the best chance and experience like me? I have been a governor in the state, a senator twice and have good structure in the state so; I do not see why I will not win the election.
“Those that are running, I have not heard anything they have done, they have not won election and they are not prepared to win election. We need somebody with capacity and I know that we have that capacity to remove the sitting governor,” he said.
Responding to rumors around him that he was planning to return to the PDP, Ubah declared that his opponents were behind the speculations.
“It is a very wicked lie, it is a blackmail, they are just trying to sabotage me, they know that I am on the ground, they know what I have done for Anambra State and my constituency, you can go and check. No senator has done what I have done in the state. I have evidence, it is there.
“What my opponents are doing is to blackmail me, it is a total lie. I stand by the APC, I am in APC now and nothing can make me go to another party. I am not somebody who runs up and down, you know me,” he added.
