Glo offers affordable voice, data roaming for Hajj travellers in Saudi Arabia

Globacom has unveiled affordable voice and data roaming packages for Nigerians travelling to Saudi Arabia, especially during the ongoing Hajj season, offering them seamless connectivity at highly competitive rates.
According to the telecom operator, the packages are designed not only for pilgrims but also for customers visiting the country for business or leisure. The roaming plans, developed in partnership with top Saudi operators, allow subscribers to make calls and browse the internet conveniently using a single bundle, offering excellent value for money.
Globacom stated that it has also reduced its pay-as-you-go roaming tariffs in Saudi Arabia to ensure that customers enjoy lower communication costs while abroad. The roaming bundles are tailored to fit different usage needs. For instance, a N2,500 bundle gives 100MB of data and five minutes of voice calls for one day, while a N5,000 plan offers 250MB and ten minutes of talk time.

Customers who prefer more extended access can opt for larger bundles, such as the N10,000 plan for 1GB of data valid for 10 days, or the N25,000 package offering 2.5GB for 30 days. The highest package, priced at N50,000, delivers 6GB of data with a 60-day validity period.
These options allow users to stay connected, share their experiences, and communicate with family and friends back in Nigeria or anywhere in the world. Glo customers can activate any of the bundles by dialling *312#, selecting option 8 for roaming, and following the prompts. Bundles can also be purchased while in Nigeria and will activate automatically on arrival in Saudi Arabia.
For those who prefer not to subscribe to a bundle, Globacom’s pay-as-you-go rates remain highly competitive, with data charged at N30 per MB, calls to Nigeria at N350 per minute, local Saudi calls at N270 per minute, and SMS at N50 per message.
