Young mum reveals how she passed out being raped by ex-lover

A brave young mother has narrated how her ex-boyfriend almost strangled her while raping her. She labelled her ex a “depraved animal.

“Twice I passed out and could only see black when he had his hands around my throat. He would pin me down by the throat before raping me. I thought I would die in that bedroom” she said.

Recent Agency report said that the rapist, Andrew Thomson, 38, a convicted drug dealer, faces jail after being found guilty of raping Rebecca Ramsay, 24, and a 16-year-old girl.

The judge at the High Court in Glasgow this week said Thomson made him “ashamed to be a Scotsman”.

Controlling Thomson, 38, spiked Rebecca’s drink with diazepam, banned her from having pals, wearing make-up and working as a dental nurse.

The report said that the victim, who preferred to be anonymous, said: “He is a depraved animal. “I thought he would kill me. He is a depraved animal. He cut me off from my friends until he was the only one I had left.

Evil Thomson was devoid of emotion after attacking his petite partner and subjecting her to horrific abuse throughout their relationship, the Daily Record reports.

He will be jailed next month after being found guilty on Tuesday. Thomson smashed Rebecca’s phone, wouldn’t let her drink alcohol unless he was present and demanded she withdraw £400 from her bank.

He subjected her to brutal violence until she lost consciousness. She said: “When I met him I thought he was a decent guy but then the violence started.

“I was walking on eggshells trying to please him to make the violence stop. “Once he had his hands around my throat against a wall as I held my baby and I was so scared I was going to drop her.”

She lived with Thomson during their two-and-a-half-year relationship before she managed to end it in 2015.
