Trailer knocks down fleeing robbers
Three suspected highway robbers were knocked down by a trailer while trying to escape arrest from police along Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Two of the suspected robbers, who sustained varying degrees of injuries were identified as Sola Bilaminu and Ibrahim Sandi.
It was learnt that the incident happened around Mountain of Fire and Miracle Ministry at 10.22pm on Thursday.
It was also gathered that the suspected robbers attempted to flee when they noticed the presence of security operatives.
After being knocked down, the suspected robbers were subsequently arrested by police officers on patrol, the Ogun State Police Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, said in a release on Friday.
Adejobi said the suspected robbers operated with motorcycles to attack road users at the MFM area.
