The state police commissioner stated that all hands must be on deck in finding an acceptable and a lasting solution to the herdsmen/farmers’ lingering crisis, especially in the state.
He intimated the visitors of the intention of the state government, working in conjunction with the security agencies, to set up a committee consisting of selected persons from the communities in all the affected areas in the state with a view to nipping in the bud tendencies that may degenerate to a very bad situation.
On their part, the spokesman for the two communities thanked the police boss for “his ever forthright and swift positive response to issues of safety and security in the state,” and pledged to always avail the command of useful information that will help in the peace process.
