The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Ughelli Ward 3/7, Delta State, witnessed a massive turnout on Sunday, May 18, 2025, as leaders and party faithful convened to reaffirm their commitment to the party amidst recent political defections.

The ward meeting, hosted by Hon. Oke Umurhohwo and Comr. Alex Akporute, alongside Hon. Anthony Omonigho, Madam Rita Agba, Chief Jawhono, and others, served as a strategic gathering to encourage party members to remain steadfast. Ward Chairman Mr. Ighosotu Orakah led the deliberations, while LGA Chairman Hon. Daniel Emaye and other stakeholders assured the crowd that the PDP remains the dominant party in Ughelli North and Delta State.

In his remarks, Hon. Umurhohwo dismissed concerns surrounding the recent defection of the state governor, emphasizing that PDP’s core remains unshaken and that the party’s national and state leadership, including Acting Chairman Chief Emmanuel Ogidi, are working to reposition the party.
