Nigerian content creator, Jesse Adisa, popularly known as Papeeyah has revealed one of the major challenges in content creation.
Papeeyah said he was oftentimes told that he had a weird voice as well as a strange mode of speech and charisma/expression.
Before gaining more confidence in his craft and all he stands for, one of the major challenges he also used to face was anxiety about how his content will be received and whether it will perform well in the public sphere or not.
According to him, creating content is not challenging to him personally because it’s like a natural extension of his inbuilt skill and it enables him to seamlessly integrate his ideas into engaging material.
He further stated that content creation is what he loves doing most especially the filming and editing part which he regarded as “pure enjoyment.” “Right now, my main struggle is with engagement and reception, but I’m working on my confidence.
I know I’ll eventually look back and laugh at how I used to worry about these things, but for now, that’s just where I am,” he said.Speaking about the challenge of work-life balance, Papeeyah reiterated that balancing demand with domestic activity isn’t a struggle because he is dedicated to content creation.
“Family remains important, so I stay connected, visiting my mom and spending time with my siblings. But when it comes to work, I’ve chosen to focus solely on entertainment and content creation,” he stated.
“When it comes to challenges, what keeps me going is my determination not to let myself down. From a young age, I’ve always wanted to be in the spotlight, and that desire still drives me,” he added.
