Ondo Youths Throw Support For APC Candidate, Rotimi Akeredolu

Some youths in Ondo state have thrown their weight behind the candidature of Mr. Rotimi Akeredolu of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the November 26 poll.

The youths under the auspices of the All Volunteers Group Support said Mr. Akeredolu is a strong candidate to reckon with judging by his positive antecedent.

They spoke on Wednesday at the APC Secretariat in Akure, the State capital.

The youths said that their future is better secured in the hand of the APC candidate and described him as a focused and vibrant man who has been tested.

Ademola Ilesanmi, the Coordinator of the Youths Volunteer Group, said they decided to declared their support for the candidacy of Mr. Akeredolu for his believe in the empowerment of the youths.

Ilesanmi added that the youths have wake up from their slumber and ready to hold leaders in the political system of the state accountable.

He promised that the youths would championed a good cause for the emergence of Mr. Akeredolu in the forthcoming election in Ondo State.

“We are trying to show Ondo State people that we youths are not after money, we all the volunteer groups supporting APC, we mobilized ourselves here from all the 18 local governments without collecting any money fro the party, without collecting one naira from anybody but with our own voluntary body, we just came here.

“We are not after money, we are after education, we are after good health, we are after good governance. We support Honorable Akeredolu because we understand him as a person that has future of the youths.

“This time around, let’s focus on our youths and future, this is our time, this is the time we can determine what will happen in the next four years. What we are doing today is to determine what will happen to we the youths in the next four years,” he said.

Tunji Light-Ariyomo, a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the State said the youths are important stakeholders in the political systems of the state.

Mr. Ariyomo, who was a former governorship aspirant of the party, appreciated the youths for their resolved to work for the emergence of Mr. Akeredolu.

He said; “Having such congress of youth gathered without any financial implication is really something that is rear these days.
“To see it in APC gladdens my heart and I see it as an example other young people can emulate”
