Nigerian seven year old emerges champion at AI competition

Seven-year-old Ikem has made it to the 2019 World Robot Olympiad joint champion Brendon.
Ikem, who expressed his love for robotic education said it has always been his utmost desire to be a world-renowned AI.
According to the Seven year old,“I practiced and worked hard for this because robotics means a lot to me. I want to be the best in the world and i will work hard to become the world champion.”
Ikem’s father, Obed, who is an Engineer, said many preparations had gone into the preparation of his child before he became champion.
Again, Ikem was not only the one who emerged winner as his pair ,Peter-Jesse pupils of Children’s International School, Lekki, Lagos emerged as champion at the recently held 2019 World Robot Olympiad at the Oriental Hotel, Victoria Island on Saturday.
The 2019 WRO Nigeria serves as the qualification stage to the upcoming WRO in Gyor, Hungary from November 8 to November 10, had over 120 students drawn from the public and private schools in attendance.
The 2019 WRO Nigeria was organised by Arc Lights Foundation, the 2019 edition serves as the qualification stage to the upcoming WRO in Gyor, Hungary and the qualifiers may have about 22,000 participants according to the organizers.
