Nigerian Professionals Alert to Plots to Destabilize Tinubu Presidency

The Forum of Nigerian Professionals in Politics (FNPP) has once again raised concerns over the emerging pitfalls being set against the continued success of President Tinubu’s administration.
Nigerians can recall that on February 4, 2024, the Forum of Nigerian Professionals in Politics (FNPP), a Pan-Nigeria Platform of Professionals and Businessmen in politics, exposed a plot by certain unpatriotic elements to derail the Tinubu administration by launching a vicious attack against the Chief of Staff to the President, Rt. Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, knowing the sensitive nature of the office and the person of the Chief of Staff to the success of any administration.
That patriotic intervention by this Forum helped the government effectively resist the plot, steady its course, and further reinforce the Presidency’s focus on delivering its set objectives and goals in the overall interest of our nation.
This time our Forum, in line with our commitment to the stability, success, and growth of the nation, has intercepted and hereby alerts the nation to a plot by certain disgruntled politicians, enabled by the so-called coalition, to infiltrate the Presidency and the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC), feed them with lies and false allegations against President Tinubu’s trusted men, and sow seeds of discord, foment disaffection, and estrange them from him.
They are using fabricated and well-laid-out machinations to diminish the trust the president has in key APC governors, especially in the North West and South East of the country. These agents of the Coalition believe that the opposition Coalition cannot penetrate and upstage President Tinubu in these zones unless Governors Sani and Uzodimma are separated from the President, knowing their influence in consolidating support for the Tinubu Presidency in the two zones, which are crucial in any electoral contest against President Tinubu.
The Kaduna and Imo State governors have been the targets of these elements in their bid to destabilize their strongholds and render them ineffective in galvanizing support for President Tinubu’s drive to enthrone structured and enduring legacies that will propel sustainable growth for our dear nation.
The current peace devoid of religious intolerance in Kaduna State, unlike in the recent past, must be encouraged, just as the concerted efforts being made by the Imo State governor in creating and attracting the critical mass of South East support that is fast building up for the current administration must be acknowledged and sustained.
Gov. Uzodinma has been consistent in placing the South East’s problems at the forefront of the administration, utilizing his vast political experience spanning over 30 years to build bipartisan structures that continue to promote and enable the understanding of South East stakeholders regarding the benefits of encouraging the present administration to do even more for the region. It is in this light that we encourage Mr. President to continue with the beneficial relationships and not be distracted by obvious voices that only seek to destroy.
As professionals and businessmen, we recognize and acknowledge the efforts and commitment of President Tinubu in revamping our nation from the sorry state that he met it, and we urge him to remain focused and not allow these elements to distract, detract, and weaken his administration, especially in his commitment to repositioning the economy and checking corruption in the country.
It is clear that Nigeria is passing through very challenging times, and we call on all well-meaning citizens to set aside every parochial, group, and partisan interest and join hands with President Tinubu in his manifest efforts to bring our nation out of the woods.
Signed:
Chief Okey Ezenwa
