Madu hails Heartland after hard-fought win

Heartland FC head coach, Ramson Madu, has expressed delight with his players after their win over Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC).
The Naze Millionaires piped the Oluyole Warriors 1-0 in Sunday’s Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) matchday 32 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.
Former Dolphins defensive midfielder, Emeka Atuloma scored the match winners that handed the Owerri-based side the vital three points at stake.
Madu praised his charges for firmly defending their hard-earned goal till the end against determined and difficult opponents, 3SC.
“It was 100% the toughest game we have played in recent time as 3SC showed they came determined to wrestle the whole points at stake.
“I think the Ibadan side were more than prepared for the encounter with the resolute approach to the game.
“I commend my players for their impressive performance and they simply made up their minds to win the match no matter the challenges.
“The victory has enlivened my mood as well as given us the added boost and encouragement to continue the survival fight.
“Well, it’s not celebration time as we are not yet out of the wood, there is still work to be done.
“The work is enormous but we are more than determined to keep fighting till the last whistle,” Madu said.
The hard fought victory against Shooting Stars Sports Club (3SC) adds up Heartland total earnings to 39.
