Lafarge Africa empowers customers with 155 trucks to enhance operations

Lafarge Africa has reinforced its commitment to customer growth and operational efficiency by allocating 155 trucks to its partners. This initiative aims to enhance logistics capabilities, strengthen supply chain control, and unlock new business opportunities for customers across Nigeria.

At the truck allocation ceremony, Gbenga Onimowo, Commercial Director of Lafarge Africa Plc, represented by Babatunde Odufote, Head of Sales, Lagos, described the initiative as a transformative step toward empowering customers. “These trucks are more than just vehicles; they are tools of empowerment designed to enhance market presence and drive sustainable growth,” he stated.

Osaze Aghatise, Logistics Director of Lafarge Africa, represented by Head of Logistics Projects, Ogbonna Arua, highlighted the operational importance of the initiative. “Logistics is a cornerstone of any business, especially in the construction industry. These trucks will ensure the timely and efficient delivery of Lafarge products, enabling our customers to maintain reliability and excellence in service delivery,” he said.

Beneficiaries of the programme expressed gratitude for the initiative, noting its potential to significantly boost their operations. Abiodun Akinleye of Abiodun Akinleye Nigeria Enterprises remarked, “With this support, we can increase our capacity dramatically, growing from handling 5,000 to potentially 20,000 tons monthly. This initiative will expand our market reach and grow our businesses.”

Lafarge Africa’s latest effort underscores its dedication to fostering long-term partnerships and driving sustainable growth in the construction industry.
