Kanye West and Kim Kardashian Listed among Time Magazine's 100 Most Influential People
Both Kanye West and Kim Kardashian has joined a list of celebrities, icons and politicians on Time magazine’s list of 100 most influential people. The rapper is celebrated as a “titan” while his wife Kim Kardashian according to television personality, Martha Stewart, is a media phenomenon. She goes on to praise the reality television star and says that Kim made the list for the energy, sexuality, drama, determination, impetuousness and happiness she exudes. According to her, “She and her famous, entrepreneurial siblings, shepherded by a savvy, tireless matriarch, have also expanded the very definition of family.”
For Tesla Motors CEO, Elon Musk, Kanye deserves his place on the list because of his outspoken nature and incredible tenacity. He goes on to say, “Kanye West would be the first person to tell you he belongs on this list. The dude doesn’t believe in false modesty, and he shouldn’t. Kanye does think. Constantly. About everything. And he wants everybody else to do the same: to engage, question, push boundaries. Now that he’s a pop-culture juggernaut, he has the platform to achieve just that.”
The couple recently just got back from a weeklong tour of Kim’s ancestral home, Armenia and Israel. They alongside their daughter North, sister, Kloe and cousins, Kara and Kourtni, travelled to the city of Gyumri, north of the capital, where records state that past relatives of the Kardashian family lived where they explored the dilapidated remains of the house. They also got to learn more their heritage.
Kim has made no secret of her desire to explore her roots, given that her late lawyer dad, Robert Kardashian, who passed away in 2003, was a third-generation Armenian American.
