ITF appeal to State govt, NGOs to train more Nigerians on skills acquisition

The Industrial Training Fund (ITF), has appealed to State Governments, Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), and other sectors to partner with the Fund in training more Nigerians on skills acquisition.

Speaking in Jos, at the closing ceremony of the 2019 National Industrial Skills Development Programme (NISDP), on Monday, the ITF Director General, Sir Joseph Ari said the appeal became necessary because the Fund is over stretched, considering the magnitude of unemployment confronting the country.

“What the Federal Government is doing is clearly not enough in view of the magnitude of the unemployment confronting us. I will therefore seize this opportunity to appeal to State Governments, the Organised Private Sector (OPS), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGO), Faith-Based Organisations, Politicians and other stakeholders to collaborate with the ITF in our efforts to training Nigerians”, Ari said.

“Only through such collaborations will the Fund be able to train as many youths to impact the Nigerian environment”, Ari said.
