I won’t leave the house I strive to build – Gov Bindow

Vows to remain in APC
Adamawa State Governor Umaru Jibrila Bindow has reiterated that the All Progressives Congress party (APC) is the house that his humble self and other stakeholders struggled to build, insisting he will remain in the APC for life.
Governor Bindow stated this on Tuesday while responding to questions on resignation of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar from the APC by State House correspondents after a meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.
He said, “As far as I am concerned, I am one of the founding fathers of the APC. When I was in the Senate, we were the ones, alongside the current Senate President that worked very hard to ensure that all members of the National Assembly; that we agreed to move to the APC. So, I cannot see any reason why, today, that the house I built, that I will leave. So I am in the APC for the rest of my life, period.”
Governor Bindow also stated that the APC is a strong party in Adamawa State on the grounds that 23 out of 25 members in the State House of Assembly belong to the APC.
He also disclosed that, “The three senators from the state are from the APC, even the House of Representatives, including Adamu Kamale who recently moved to the APC. So we are strong and we will continue to be strong.”
According to him, respect is part of him, saying that he not only gives respect to Atiku but to every elder in the stats
He said, “As far as I am concerned, I regard them as my parents or elders. So, Waziri remains somebody I respect as a father, and the same with any other elder in the state.”
He added that Atiku is more than matured enough to decide whatever he wants to decide for himself.
The governor said, “I have told you, he is more than matured enough. He is an eminent personality, a former vice president and so will be able to decide what he wants to do.”
Governor Bindow had visited the Villa to brief Buhari on the security situation in Adamawa State.
“We the people of the North-East are concerned, we will remain loyal to our president who is highly committed to the fight against insurgency. We will remain loyal to our president, ” he added
