I will leave a stronger Delta – Okowa

Nosa Akenzua, Asaba
Following his successful re-election, Delta state Governor, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa has promised to leave a legacy of a stronger state that will be a pacesetter in the country.
The governor gave the assurance on Wednesday in Asaba, in a state broadcast to mark his re-election for second term in office.
“This victory is a motivation for me to do more; much more. One thing I assure you all today, is that we shall raise the bar of good governance even higher in my second tenure. I am resolved to leave a legacy of a Delta state that will be the pacesetter in the federation,” the governor said.
He enjoined all Deltans to thank God for what was largely a peaceful and hitch-free election, except for one or two skirmishes that were quickly brought under control.
Governor Okowa in the broadcast, commended the Independent National Electoral Commission and the law enforcement agencies for standing firm and resolute in delivering free, fair and credible election, saying that “this is the pathway to sustainable democracy in Nigeria.”
