From One-Room Apartment to Global Visionary: The Inspiring Rise of Samuel Olaoyenikan

According to several experts like Blackrock and JPMorgan, crypto and Web3 are the future. But with all the complexity surrounding the space, newbies in the space often find it challenging to find their footing and make something of themselves there. That’s why stories like Samuel Oladokun’s stand out. A Web3 Marketer and Tutor from West Africa, Samuel is changing the narrative for thousands across the continent and beyond.

Olaoyenikan Samuel Oladokun, popularly known as Xeus The Great to the Web3 audience, is a peerless teacher, trader, private investor and visionary leader who has personally changed thousands of lives through hands-on training, teaching and guidance.

Samuel’s philosophy is, “To know is to be free.” This philosophy guided him when he founded The Nirvana Academy, a learning hub focused on equipping people with the tools they need to achieve financial freedom, regardless of their background or starting point.

“Unemployment is up, poverty rates are skyrocketing, and people are hungry. Yet there are so many opportunities to make money and be comfortable all over the place. The problem is most people don’t know where to look and how to find these things.” Samuel says. “Nirvana is about equipping people with the skills they need to thrive in any market, both Web 2 and Web3. It’s about teaching them how to spot opportunities and capitalize on them.”

For Samuel, success and financial freedom are not just about skills. He says, “Nirvana is not just about teaching people skills alone. It’s about giving them a mindset shift and showing them that it’s possible to do great things from a small place,” he says. “Web3 is full of opportunities. My job is to help you find them and seize them so you can live up to your full potential.”

The Nirvana Academy launched its first program, DeFi 101, in September 2021 with just 300 students. Today, it has run 11 cohorts, graduated over 10,000 people, and is now onboarding its 12th cohort, tagged “KOINOPHOBIA –the fear of being average.”

When asked about what motivated him to start all he’s currently doing, here’s what Samuel had to say: “I grew up poor in a one-room apartment with Mom and four siblings. She starved to see us eat and made sure I got clothes without her having any. I know what it’s like to need things and not have them. That’s why I’m working twice as hard to help people break free from this sort of reality.”

“Web3 isn’t as hard or mysterious as people make it out to seem. What you need is access to the right information, and that’s exactly what you get from Nirvana. Remember, To Know Is To Be Free.”

When Samuel is not investing or teaching others how to access financial freedom, he’s out in the streets giving back to the community. He is the founder of the Tevah Foundation, a non-profit committed to promoting positive change within the community, with a strong focus on education. So far, Tevah has already provided thousands of people access to food and essentials, books, free education, and much more.

It might be too early to call how successful Nirvana Academy will be long term. However, it is an undeniable fact that Oladokun Samuel has changed the lives of everyone around him, and he continues to do so.
