Also to be on display would be Nigerian cuisine and culinary art, fine arts, fashion design, as well as the exhibition of traditional dances.
He said that the festival would afford the country the opportunity to showcase its cultural heritage, and further help to boost the revenue base of the country through tourism.
The consultant added that Nollywood and the music industry had grown in leaps and bounds in the last two decades, adding that it was not yet properly structured or financially rewarding.
Nweke noted that the industry was bedeviled with copyright issues as well as other challenges in production, sales and distribution value chain.
“The Afro International Film and Market Festival will provide a forum where global best practices will be highlighted and discussed,’’he said.
He appealed to governments at all levels, corporate organisations and other entrepreneurs to contribute towards the success of the festival.
“Buying into the festival via sponsorship, and other things that may be deemed necessary, may position Nigeria as a destination of choice for an annual global festival, ‘’the consultant added.
Nweke said that the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture and other global content providers have bought into the project which will be hosted in Lagos, Nigeria.
He said that no fewer than 5, 000 participants were expected at the event, adding that the Nigerian music industry had taken Africa and the world by storm.
Which he said should be promoted, and structured as a viable revenue yielding business devoid of copyright issues.
