Injured Super Falcons defender Onome Ebi has undergone a successful surgery on her arm.
Central defender Ebi was injured in the arm during last weekend’s women’s AFCON final against hosts Cameroun in Yaounde.
The experienced Ebi played through the pain barrier for Nigeria to clinch a record eighth AWCON.
She underwent a corrective surgery in Abuja, but it is unclear whether the cost of the operation was borne by the player herself or the cash-strapped Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
Falcons midfielder Ngozi Okobi was the other player who was injured in the bruising final against Cameroun.
