Eaglets’ camp opens May 28

The Nigeria Golden Eaglets training camp earlier fixed to open on May 8 will now begin on May 28 also in Abuja.
The cash crunch facing the Nigeria Football federation (NFF) was the cause for the delay in opening the training camp.
The camp will involve an open screening exercise of eligible players with strong indications Coach Manu Garba has also selected a set of youngsters from various scouting missions across the country recently.
The reigning U-17 world champions are due to begin the qualifiers for the 2017 U17 AFCON in August against Niger.
Nigeria have won the FIFA U-17 World Cup a record five times – in 1985, 1993, 2007, 2013 and 2015.
