Chinese Invade Plateau In Search of Minerals

Chinese investors has invaded Plateau State and are prospecting for minerals in various locations.
This was disclosed on Monday, by the Commissioner for Information Plateau State, Malam Muhammad Nazif at the monthly ministerial briefing with Journalists. Nazif said that Plateau State will soon start reaping in no distance future, the benefit of the North-Central Nigeria Business and Investment Forum, which was held in Guanzhou China earlier in the year. The visit to China by Governor Simon Lalong has brought a team of Chinese investors led by the chairman of Yuzhou Group and Human Xianghui Development Group Limited, Mr. Jao Fangmin to visit Plateau state and promised to explore areas of investment that would boost economic activities. Lalong had said that his working visit to China was to bring the team of investors who are ready to invest in the solid minerals sector in the state, stressing that he held a preliminary discussions with three groups in Guanagzhou, China. Lalong had earlier implored the Chinese to site a Nigeria-Chinese School and urged them to look for suitable place that would be of interest for them and the state, adding that the state was peaceful and ripe for investors.
