Children’s Day: Emirates reiterates commitment to young flyers
As part of its efforts to demonstrate strong commitment to young children and young flyers, Emirates, on May 27th 2017, hosted a wide range of Nigerian children to a children’s party at the Ikeja City Mall, Alausa in Lagos.
The children in company of the Regional Manager, Commercial Operations, West Africa, Afzal Parambil were entertained to different stages of treats. They were also tickled with Cinema show at the Silverbird Cinema at the mall. Foods, drinks and photographs with the Regional Manager were equally taken to mark the Children’s Day celebration.
At the end of the show, gifts of different kinds were handed over to the children, including food packs, toys, books, school bags and all sorts of Emirates souvenirs.
This is not the first time Emirates is showing love and interest on children. The airline, in the past has been much interested on children, not only in Nigeria but at the global level.
The airline believes that Young Flyers have innate curiosity and boundless energy; they therefore, made provisions to offer a range of products and services with their needs in mind.
“We want to share our passion and love for adventure with these future travellers as well as stimulate their curiosity. Whether they’re flying alone or with their families, our toys and goodie bags inspire the greatest imaginations and encourage tomorrow’s explorers”, the airline said.
On board, Emirates has developed its own set of toys for children. With “Fly With Me Animals”, pre-school children can collect a range of 4 original characters. These cuddly and playful animals each have their own personalities and traits, and are ideal companions for a flight and beyond. Every six months, four new animals will be introduced giving children more to collect.
The toys come in 3 product lines which include: Travel Buddy – a cuddly toy with a plastic toggle allowing it to be hung in the car, on a pram or in the cot; Carry Buddy – dual purpose toy and blanket and Magnetic sketchers – unique characters to keep kids entertained, with drawing and easy erasing functionality
Other packages include are ‘Fly With Me Lonely Planet Kids’ and ‘Fly With Me Animals Magazine’.
Meals and special products for babies and children on all routes include: Toiletry kits with wet wipes, cream, bib, teething ring and tissue pack; child-friendly liners for the bassinet and baby food, formula, feeding bottles and diapers
For children on all routes Emirates offers recently designed meal trays featuring the Emirates Little Travellers and Special kids meals which can be ordered in advance
In addition, Young travellers on Emirates receive specially designed headphones for a better fit and they can enjoy dedicated channels of children and family programming. These fun and colourful new headphones have larger speakers for a more comfortable fit and improved sound quality.
