Board Appointments: A’Ibom APC applauds President Buhari

For appointing many indigenes of Akwa Ibom State into Federal Government agencies and parastatals, the state chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for his show of love to the state.
In a press statement issued by the state publicity secretary of the party, Edet Eyo Bassey over the weekend, shortly after the appointment was announced,
the party described the president’s gesture as indication of the fair mindedness of the president and the disposition of APC Federal Government to equity and justice in the distribution of Appointments to every section of the country.
The statement reads, “We wish to express our sincere thanks and profound gratitude to President Muhammadu Buhari (GCFR) for the various meritorious appointments he has extended to Akwa Ibom state in the newly re-constituted Boards of Federal Government Agencies and Parastatals.”
The state chapter of APC also pledges the continued support to President Buhari and his initiatives to transform and re-position Nigeria to an enviable height.
Meanwhile, many indigenes of the state are full of praises to the president for ensuring that the state is being carried along in his administration through appointment into various government positions, saying it’s an indication that the president actually cares for equal representation of all Nigerians.
Reacting to the president’s appointment, APC chieftain and former chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Arch Otu Ita Toyo said the state has a duty to look back and be thankful to God for the accommodation which President Buhari’s government has shown to the state.
Toyo who reacted on his social media wall wrote, “I’m sure most persons will recall when it was, that our resource was slavishly carted up the country to support a President and Federal Government who confessed that they ignored our state throughout their tenure but Buhari’s own is different.
This is one very good turn and we will soon have an opportunity to, as they say, one good turn, deserves another juicier and more bumper package.”
