APC crisis: Timi Frank’s suspension’ll backfire, group tells Oyegun

The National Committee of Yoruba Youths (NCYY) has warned that attempt to suspend the deputy national publicity secretary of (APC) Comrade Timi Frank from the party will backfire.

The national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Wednesday inaugurated a disciplinary committee to probe Timi Frank for gross misconduct.

Timi Frank, while reacting earlier today stated that he will not appear before the committee which he described as “Kangaroo committee”.

In a statement made available to newsmen, the National Committee of Yoruba Youths (NCYY) through its President Comrade Oladimeji Olayemi said it has watched with keen interest the “undue political victimization, persecution and harassment of Comrade Timi Frank” saying any attempt to suspend him from the party by Oyegun led APC.

“We by this statement call on Chief Oyegun and this cabal to immediately put an end to the continuous blackmail, harassment and intimidation of Comrade Timi Frank.

The Latest in the several phases of the orchestrated campaign of calumny against Comrade Timi Frank by Chief Oyegun is the current move to get him suspended from the National Working Committee, (NWC of APC), through the setting up of a kangaroo disciplinary committee to try Comrade Frank on trump up allegations bordering on anti party activities.

The group said It is worrisome, “that this Cabal in APC under Chief Oyegun in its attempt to batter the continually rising profile of Comrade Frank both in Nigeria and in the international arena have continued to feed the public with concocted information that are clearly contrary to the true picture of what really is the fact at the National Secretariat of APC and the myriad of problems confronting the Party across the nation  due to the ineffectiveness and high handedness of the party leadership.

“We wish to inform Nigerians, APC party faithful across the nation  particularly all peace and fact seeking ones that there is no established legal or political precedent for the charade that this cabal are currently planning to embark upon by stampeding an elected Party official from his duty post through illegality and incitement”.

The group informed that it is battle ready to resist any assault against Timi Frank saying they are solidly behind him in the battle against “democratic cabals, political godfathers who have decided to keep genuine Democrats in their armpits.

“Our sincere advice to APC is to desist from the path of political blackmail and vindictiveness against Nigerian Youths because it will surely backfire and destroy them instead. Those who ride on the back of a tiger tend to end up inside it”, they added.
