AMVCA 2016: IK Osakioduwa, Minenhle announced as host

Organisers of Nigeria’s biggest Nollywood award, AMVCA, have announced the two hosts for the 2016 edition of the Africa Magic Viewer’s choice awards billed to hold March 5, 2016.

Multi-talented IK Osakioduwa will once again return to host the show, and he will be joined by a new co-host, Minenhle ‘Minnie’ Dlamini.

Minnie, who is a South African actress, TV presenter, radio DJ, Brand Ambassador, MC and Fashionista, came into limelight in 2010 when she beat thousands of hopefuls in the nationwide search for a young and sassy presenter for one of South Africa’s biggest music shows.

Returning to host the AMVCAs for a fourth successive year, Osakioduwa is unarguably Africa’s biggest On Air Personality.

“We are excited to present Minnie as the co-host of the 2016 edition of the AMVCAs. She joins an elite group of people who have hosted the most prestigious celebration of film and television talent in Africa. Minnie brings to the stage excitement, fun, intensity and wit; her pairing with IK guarantees a great show and there’s no doubt that our viewers are in for a great time,” Director, M-Net West Africa, Wangi Mba-Uzoukwu, said.

Nominees for the 2016 AMVCAs were announced on December 11, 2015 and public voting closes on Friday, February 26, 2016.
