ACCA boosts finance professionals with Synergy Professionals approval

In an effort to enhance finance professionals, the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) has given Synergy Professionals the Platinum ALP certificate to equip students with standard learning with the best possible chance of success in accounting and finance fields.

Synergy Professionals is an indigenous professional accounting tuition provider in Nigeria and the Platinum approved ALP status is the highest and most prestigious level of the ACCA learning providers’ programme.

It is worthy to notes that before Platinum approval can be considered, learning providers must already be Gold approved and, in addition to the performance targets that have been demonstrated to attain Gold approval, the learning provider must also meet ACCA’s Platinum performance targets and pass-rate targets over two consecutive sets of results.

Speaking at the presentation, Jonathan Mbewe, Head of Education & Development, SSA, said that Synergy Professionals have worked hard to achieve the Platinum ALP status in the last three years and have successfully achieved three sessions of performance above global pass rate in addition to upgrading their facilities to meet the required criteria.

It would be recalled that ACCA has recorded another milestone in developing finance professionals in Nigerian Universities, with the recent certification of Babcock University as an ACCA accredited institution.

This followed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding with Babcock University in October 2015 and made it became the first ACCA accredited private university in Nigeria.

The Country Manager, ACCA Nigeria, Toyin Ademola, who led a delegation to meet with the Head of the Accounting Department, Professor Ishola Rufus Akinkoyete, said that ACCA Nigeria will continue to work tirelessly to develop and seek opportunities for partnership with other reputable universities in Nigeria; towards brand build in grand achieving it objective in becoming number one in developing the finance professionals that the world needs.
