Lafarge appoints new company secretary

Lafarge Africa has announced the appointment of a new company secretary, Mrs. Adewumi Alode, which took effect from Thursday, 12th December, 2017.
This was disclosed by the company through a publication by the NSE published on Thursday, signed by the company’s Group Managing Director/CEO, Michel Puchercos
According to the company, prior to Adewumi’s appointment, she has held several positions within the company’s legal department, including company secretary for the wholly owned subsidiary. Lafarge ready Mix Nigeria Limited.

She was also the group compliance officer and the senior legal counsel, Commercial contracts. She has over nine years working experience as an in-house legal counsel as well as three years active legal practice.

The new Lafarge Africa company secretary, hold s a degree in law from the Lagos State University and was called to the Nigerian bar in 2005 and a member of the Nigerian bar Association (NBA). She also holds the professional certification of the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators (ICSA) of Nigeria and is positioned to be awarded with Grad ICSA, from ICSA UK early in 2018.
