Reddington Healthcare Group unveils Breast, Gynae Centre

In its quest to provide advanced, high quality, restorative, wellness and aesthetic care to women at all stages of their life, Nigeria’s foremost healthcare provider, Reddington Healthcare Group, has launched a state-of-the-art Breast and Gynaecological Centre in Lagos, solely dedicated to women’s health.
In collaboration with GE Healthcare, the primary supplier of equipment for the Centre, and a United Kingdom-based specialist team of gynaecologists, radiologists and breast surgeons, the management of the hospital led by its founder, Dr. Adeyemi Onabowale, said the Centre will provide a full range of high quality and personalized healthcare services ranging through varied aspects of women’s health, including a Gynaecology Clinic, a Breast Health Clinic, and a Women’s Wellness Clinic.
Speaking at the unveiling ceremony which took place in Lagos recently, Medical Director of the Centre and Consultant Obstetrician &Gynaecologist, Reddington Hospital, Lagos, Dr. Charles Iwuala, said the Centre will offer services covering fibroid, infertility care, menopausal health, pelvic health, hysteroscopy, and simple office procedures.
According to Iwuala, the Breast Health Clinic will offer services on preventive breast care, curative breast care and aesthetic breast care while the Women Wellness Clinic services will include nutrition and general wellness, hormone wellness, skin wellness, heart wellness, cancer early detection and prevention and optimal-aging wellness.

On the types equipment available at the Centre, the Medical Director said :“They include a 3D Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (3D Mammography), a 3D Automatic Breast Ultrasound System (3D ABUS), a 3D Digital Breast Streotaxic Biopsy System (3D Stereo), a 3D MRI with 1.5 Tesla GE Explorer Technology.”
Unveiling the Centre, wife of the Vice President, Mrs. Oludolapo Osinbajo, commended the management of the Redddington hospital which has been in existence for over a decade for giving priority to women’s health, adding that the facility will help reduce medical tourism.
Expressing delight over the establishment of the Centre, Osinbajo said: “Taking a closer look at the facility , they have the right equipment and experts to effectively handle all health issues affecting women. I commend the management for putting this together.”
