Ilorin have a feel of Etisalat U15 trophy

The State of Harmony experienced the iconic cup as the telecommunication giants showcased school football’s biggest prize

Etisalat took the U15 Cup Trophy Tour to the Kwara State government house before commencing the Ilorin regional playoff for school football’s most coveted piece of silverware on Tuesday.

The Etisalat delegation which included Manager, Sponsorship, Orah Egwu, Manager, Events, Etisalat Nigeria, Ufuoma Dogunand Specialist, Community and Government Relations, Etisalat Nigeria, and Abdulwahab Umoru were received by the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Education, Kwara State, Mrs.Mariam Ayodeji-Garba alongside some top officials in the ministry.

In her remarks, Mrs. Ayodeji-Garba noted that the initiative speaks to the vision of the current administration in the state to help people discover their talents and develop same into profitable skills.

“Etisalat is helping people, the youths to discover their talents through the School Cup. Only a responsible organization does so,” she said.

“The initiative is helping us realise our aspiration in the state to help people discover what they can do for themselves. There is no job anywhere. People have to be creative.

“I am hoping that you will discover talents that will be very useful to this country, that will help to pull men out of poverty as some of those successful footballers are doing.”

Leader of the Etisalat delegation, Orah Egwu showcased to the Permanent Secretary and her team the Etisalat U-15 Champions Trophy and also presented a Tournament Ball to the Ministry, and there were photo sessions involving the visiting team and the host.
