Two missing UNIOSUN students still alive – Osun CP

The Osun State Commissioner of Police (CP) Fimihan Adeoye, has said that thw two that University of Osun State (UNIOSUN) studenta that are missing are not dead yet.
CP Adeoye said this while addressing newsmen at the Correspondents’ Chapel of the Nigerian Union of Journalists (NUJ) in Osogbo, capital of Osun State, yesterday.
This is as he explained that the force needed the support of the people of the state including the media to be able to maintain and sustain the peace that is already reigning in the state.
The police chief assured that police would not relent in its efforts to ensure safety of lives and properties of the citizenry.
While answering a question on the search for the two missing students of the University of Osun State (UNIOSUN), CP Adeoye said “the missing student are still alive and investigation is still on-going on the matter.”
On the recent clash in Ile-Ife, CP Adeoye said the police command is currently meeting major stakeholders and ensuring that a reoccurrence of the ugly incident is avoided.
He added, “Police will ensure safety of lives and properties and maintain existing peace in this state. We are addressing the issues of the area boys and we will not hesitate to arrest and prosecute anyone who attempt to constitute threat to other people in any part of the state.
“Whoever that is harassed by the area boys should report to the police and necessary action would be taken without hesitation and that is why we are seeking the cooperation of the people to be able to deal with the criminals appropriately.”
The Chairman of the chapel, Mr. Hameed Oyegbade, lauded the CP for his approach to crime fighting, saying that has changed the perception of the public about the police.
