TRAVELLERS LAMENT HIGH COST OF TRANSPORT FARE

The end of every year is as usual a time for celebrating the Christmas season, as always, resident of the federal capital territory travel out of the city to spend the holidays with their families and loved ones. A visit to a motor park in Abuja reveals that the numbers travellers have reduced compared the previous years. Some of the resident who spoke with Core TV news attributes the situation to the economic crisis facing the country.
Travelling during the festive season, mainly driven by the desire to visit friends and relative, has caught on with as many as 65 per cent people booking at least two months in advance compared to 53 per cent during summers holidays, according to a survey.
Some of the passengers say the transport fare is higher than that of 2015, they attributing it to high cost caused by the economic recession facing the country.
