Supreme Court affirmation of Governor Adeleke excites Osun residents in Bayelsa

The recent supreme court affirmation of the the governor of Osun State , Senator Ademola Adeleke has continue to excite and overwhelm the indigenes of Osun State residing in Bayelsa State and plan to hold a Thanksgiving for what they consider a miracle .

Speaking to journalists, flanked by his followers in Yenagoa, Comrade Festus Olaoye , Financial Secretary of the National Union of Road Transport Workers, Bayelsa state chapter, said words cannot express their deep-rooted joy and happiness over the supreme court affirmation of Governor Ademola Adeleke .

“Am even going to hold a Thanksgiving in my church on Sunday”, he said

Comrade Festus Olaoye who hails from Modakeke and urged Governor Ademola Adeleke to be magnanimous in victory , accept it as ‘no victor and no vanquished’ by embracing his opponents and perceived enemies despite their political and relegious differences, but carry everybody along and seek their support in order to deliver to the people of Osun state the much expected dividends of democracy.

” He needs to close ranks with all relevant stakeholders and unify the entire state with all shades of opinions” he said.

He disclosed that Osun state is in dire needs of development of infrastructures and manpower, as his coming to power is very auspicious and timely.

“The people of Osun are expectants of developmental strides which they use to campaign at the end of the initial four years”

“We all know that governor Ademola Adeleke is from a wealthy family who will not divert state funds, but he should judiciously deploy the state funds for development and betterment of the state with legacy projects and enduring policies and programs”

He said the state deserves a face lift in terms of infrastructural development, which the people are yearning for, adding that the people are clamouring for development comparable to Small London or Dubai,by providing enabling environment to attract investors and industries.

On workers relationships, he urged him not to toy with worker salaries, but ensure that workers salaries are paid regularly and also make it a priority to pay the retirees their pension and gratuities promptly.

He also called on him to always seek the face of God before taking any decision as he is saddled with the leadership of the state, as they will continue to pray for him fervently to succeed in his responsibilities as governor of the state.
