Socialites, religious musician to paint Ijebu red with praises
Come Friday, December 1st, 2017, top socialites and elites will storm Ijebu for the first ever Ijebu Praise Concert.
The concert which is been powered by Hon Kehinde Odeneye (OK) will have popular Christian gospel artistes and their Muslim counterpart in the first ever show like this in the country with the likes of Lanre Teriba Arise, Timi Orokoya Telemi, Ere Asalatu, Ajoke Omolope, Bola Obi, a fast risen upcoming gospel artists’ among others.
Speaking on the forthcoming event that is already the talk of town in Ijebu and its environs, Hon Odeneye member representing Ijebu central Federal Constituency said the event is not a political or religious gathering
“We are supposed to have a day to praise God that is why we choose that day which is the 1st day of the last month for the year.
It is a day we want to use to praise God, irrespective of your religion or tribe, which is what we want to use that day for.
It is not for Ijebu or Ogun state alone but for the whole federation. I observed we don’t always praise God enough in this country, we want to use that day to praise Gods, is not for Ijebu alone you will see that in this country don’t use to praise God enough that is why we choose that day, it is not a political or religious gathering it purely a praise to give God the glory for his mercies over us.
I believe if we praise God well in this country we will have the fear of God in our heart”
Also speaking on the event, Mr Pius Omadime the personal Assistant to Hon Odeneye stated that the event will not be one that will be done once and be forgotten “ We are looking at very lengthy years for the event, not just this year’
Another member of the committee Mrs Feyi also stated that Ijebu will not be itself again after Ijebu Praise Concert (IPC) “It is not a matter of maybe it will be a success, it will be, by God grace because all hands are on deck we have very experienced people whom we are all in the team. And by God grace, it will be a talk of town even after the event”
