Skales’ management alerts public of fraudsters impersonating its artiste

Baseline Records artiste, Skales, and his management on Sunday, June 11, 2017, urged the public to be wary of dubious fraudsters as complaints have been received about impersonators duping unsuspecting fans via mail and social media.
The announcement came after a viral email from a fraudster claiming to be Skales’ manager “Moses Johnson” had been received by a myriad of unsuspecting individuals. The mail claims Skales’ self-owned record label Ohk Entertainment is looking for artists to sign for a 2-year record deal.
The fraudulent mail reads “(ANNOUNCEMENT ANNOUNCEMENT)
SKALES IS LOOKING FOR AN ARTIST TO SIGN URGENT INTO OHK ENTERTAINMENT FOR 2YEARS DEAL, TO JOIN IF YOU HAVE A DEMO AND HAVE WHAT IT TAKE TO JOIN GET TOUCH TO MY MANAGER MOSES JOHNSON, ON 08077513678. OR EMAIL OHKSKALES@GMAIL.COM”.
Once unsuspecting individuals contact the scammer, they are demanded to pay a certain amount for them to secure the deal – once payment has been made, the fraudsters cease communication.
Speaking of the unscrupulous act, Skales’ actual manager Kolawole Ajayi (Kollertunz) had this to say, “It’s incredibly saddening these unruly fraudsters are using the name of a reputable enterprise to scam people off their hard-earned money. On behalf of Skales and the entire management, I would like to apologize to those that have fallen victim to such reprehensible scheme.”
Skales and Kolawole Ajayi have since appealed to the public to stay wary and vigilant; dissuading fans from responding to such mails and instead reach his management and company on +2348066851445.
