Shooting Stars begin pay strike

Shooting Stars began a pay strike Tuesday afternoon to press for their outstanding salaries as well as to sight the contracts they signed with the Ibadan club.
“They refused to train today because they want their outstanding salaries and also they wish to sight the contracts they signed with ‘The Oluyole Warriors’,” a top source informed.
Shooting Stars shelved an earlier plan to go on strike before the home game against traditional rivals Enugu Rangers.
They were paid a month’s salary before the Rangers game.
They are now owed five months’ salaries and 10 match bonuses.
Shooting Stars are 14th on the table with 44 points from 33 matches.
