Saidi Balogun gears up for 50th birthday gig
Ace actor, Saidi Balogun has hinted that all is in shape for his forthcoming 50th birthday gig billed to hold in the month July; the four days event is expected to showcase the newly rebranded, refocused Saidi.
According to Walata as he is popularly called disclosed exclusively to Daily Times that although the event was planned for the month of May but for reasons centred on the death of his colleagues that includes Olumide Bakare, Pastor Ajidara and Moji Olaiya; it was indeed necessary to pay my last respect for the deceased and the need for the postponement was vital.
The four days long event is expected to includes a Visit to the accident victims department of the University Teaching hospital, Ibadan, A motivational talk to the students of the department of Theatre Art, University of Ibadan, A Visit to the remand home, An all-black tie event tagged an evening with Saidi and the grand finale which is an all-white affair.
On celebrating 50, Saidi noted that it only takes the grace of God to have lived to witness the new age, staying relevant in the industry this far; I am speechless and all I can say is Alhamdulillah.
