RUMOURS: Besiktas interested in Man City forward

The 19-year-old is catching the eye during a season-long loan at FC Twente, and the Turkish club are now keen to return him to his homeland

Manchester City youngster Enes Unal is attracting interest from Besiktas, according to Turkish news outlet Takvim.

The 19-year-old forward has been on City’s books since the summer of 2015, when they brought him to England from Bursaspor.

He is yet to make his competitive debut for the Premier League leaders, but has gained valuable experience during loan spells in Belgium with Genk and the Netherlands with NAC Breda.

City allowed Unal to head for Holland again in July – striking a season-long agreement with FC Twente – and his exploits in the Eredivisie have drawn admiring glances from afar.

A nine-goal return – including a second career hat-trick – has him on Besiktas’ radar, with the Super Lig outfit eager to return him to his homeland in 2017.
