Rodgers Warns United Ahead of Anfield Tie

Brendan Rodgers has warned Manchester United that the confidence amongst his Liverpool players is sky high ahead of this Sunday’s top-four showdown at Anfield.

Rodgers’ watched his Liverpool side seal a 1-0 win at Swansea City on Monday night as they kept their bid for Champions League qualification on track.

The Reds are currently fifth in the Premier League but just two points behind fourth-placed United heading into the final nine games of the season.

And the Northern Irishman feels that his side are in good shape as they prepare to welcome Louis van Gaal’s side to Anfield this weekend.

“It’s step by step,” said Rodgers.
