Reno Omokri blames Nigerian youths for the fuel price hike

Following the recent hike in fuel price and increase in electricity tariffs on September 1 and September 2 respectively, Reno Omokri revealed that Nigerian youths are at the core of the problem.

As gathered by Daily Times, the former aide to ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has revealed what led to the hike in electricity and fuel price.

On a Sunday, in a tweet via his verified Twitter account, Omokri claimed that President Muhammadu Buhari was initially afraid to raise the prices of fuel and electricity.

According to him, the President went ahead with the decision after he observed that the Big Brother Naija show had completely distracted Nigerian Youths.

“l was stunned to see youths organise a fundraiser for a disqualified BBNaija housemate.

“I was told that General Buhari was afraid to raise the prices of fuel and electricity.

“What emboldened him was when he saw how BBN has completely distracted Nigeria’s youth,” he said

Omokri went further to say that sources in the Aso Rock had informed him that the fuel price hike was slated for October 2020 but had to be brought forward when the Presidency saw that Nigerian youths were distracted by the reality show, Big Brother Naija (BBNaija).
