Rant HQ founder, Suzan Coker under attack for calling Igbos senseless

Suzan Ade Coker, the founder of Rant HQ, a Facebook group is currently under attack after she made a post in the group where she referred to Igbos as senseless.

However, this statement didn’t go down well with many of the members as some of her members see such as indicting against the Igbo tribe.

One @Chinenye Gift Udengwu stated, You still need help with how tribalistic and emotionally immature you are…. I’ve noticed that with you Suzanne Adé Coker a couple of times starting from when you campaigned for APC stating that Osibanjo is yoruba hence people should vote for him…I remember you dragging people that tried calling your attention to how tribal that post was and how you wouldn’t even see that yourself.. I remember some of posts and reactions from you that further confirms your bias about tribes ….you can joke and rant all you want, but If you want peace in a multicultural group you MUST learn to accomodate and Respect all tribes.. Treat issues with individuals on a case by case basis and Not generalize and say things like “igbos are not relevant in the sceme of affairs”…. Even if Rant wasn’t taken down you haven’t shown greatness or maturity by that behavior …Anyone applauding you haven’t helped you.. They are the reason you have become like you are …. It becomes more Troubling that you see nothing wrong with your choice of words …..

While one Pauline Taribo Amadi stated, “Even if she didn’t abuse the whole Igbo tribe as some of you are saying why should a human being be this insultive, look at the words so hateful towards your fellow human being. You are an Admin for goodness sake, you created a group to interact with people and to make positive impact, most of them have helped you before, some you haven’t even seen them before, some are here to learn from you and yet you behave like this? And in public? It makes me question your upbringing and your entire personality. Where is your fear for God?I have been here for a short while, I see a lot of silly and in pleasant behavior and som very commendable attitude from members, and there are days i duff my hat for you silently and admire you, but this? This is a big no no for me.A lot of people might not see anything wrong with your post but me i insist you apologize to them if that is what it takes. I expect a leader should do better than this, most importantly as a woman with such beauty and exposure you should be of soft words and not of such gutter words.

However, some members were in support of her statement.

One Akande Mathew Olusegun stated, “Funny enough have seen our Igbo brothers and Sisters abuse and verbally destroyed almost every other tribe here on rant either through posts or comments and yet the world didn’t end. It’s always painful when you are paid back in your own coin. I’m not in anyway supporting madam Suzan but you have no moral right to condemn her action if you directly or indirectly discriminate other people’s opinions, foods, culture, lifestyle, choices etc. I’ve even seen some comments abusing the whole Yoruba race because of Suzan’s mistake. Are you then better than her? You claim she is a leader but you have forgotten she was once a follower like you who probably felt she has right to say anything about anyone without being checked. If most of you get in her shoes today, you will do even worse. Being a leader or follower doesn’t matter when you use every opportunity you get to rub others into the mud. The hate here is becoming too much.”

“Dear members of RantHQ who are Igbos but senseless, kindly exit the group and stop your noise making”, she started off her rant which was published on the 15th of May 2020.

“I am sick and tired of your endless shinning like a a child left in a messy diaper overnight! You are irrelevant in the scheme of things.”, she continued.

“This place is multicultural, multifaith platform. If you cannot stand the heat, kindly piss off. You cannot stop me talking about or reporting about any particular tribe. Go away and nurse your wounds. Allow the sensible Igbos remain in RantHQ in peace”
