Police recover 11 stolen cars, parade 4 suspects in Plateau

The Nigeria Police in Plateau State has paraded four suspects in connection with alleged snatching of 11 cars. The suspects were identified as Abdullahi Mohammed, a king pin, Sani Idris, a painter, Dauda Ibrahim, an electrician and Abubakar, a receiver of three stolen vehicles among the 11 cars.

During the parading of the suspects at the Police Headquarters in Jos yesterday, the Plateau State Police Commissioner, Undie Adie has said that the suspects would soon be arraigned before court.

While narrating on how the suspects were arrested, the Police Commissioner explained that one Mrs. Mgbachi Nkeiruka Pauline of University of Jos Health Center reported to Area Command Metro in Jos, that on 28th October, 2017 her Toyota Camry parked at Film Corporation Street was stolen.

CP Adie added that on receiving the report his men swung into action which led to arrest of a suspect known as Paul in Enugu with Pauline’s stolen car.

“His arrest led to arrest of one Ozoani Obiora in Enugu which also led to arrest of one Alhaji Tijjani on 27th February, 2018 in Zaria, and further interrogation of the suspects led to the recovery of more suspected stolen cars totaling 11”, the Police Commissioner said.

He said that the cars that were recovered included Ash Colour Pencil Light 1998 Toyota Camry, Green Honda Hennessy, Toyota Corolla 2003 Model, Red CRV 2000 Model and Toyota Corolla Red Colour among others.

The Commissiner said the 11 cars were recovered from innocent different buyers in different locations in Enugu and Ebonyi state.
