Plateau coy lays-off staff, appeals to Lalong

The Managing Director of Ric Rock Construction Company, Mr. Timothy Ezikiel, has cut down its staff strength by 50 percent as a result of unpaid certificate by the Plateau State Government.
According to Ezikiel, “Ric Rock is the highest indigenous employer of labour in Plateau State with an indigenous staff strength of 3,000 workers”, he said.
He regretted the present economic challenges confronting the country but emphasized that Ric Rock could not continue to pay salaries when the state government had not been able to pay their debts, to enable them return to site.
He appealed to the government to extend its good will to the company by defray its debt.
